Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia, seeks a compassionate, caring, and dedicated individual to become full -time Lead Behavioral Technician III to our clients living with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges residing in our Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) located in Woodbridge, VA.
What You’ll Do
Your compassionate efforts will have a profound impact on the well-being of the adults you assist. As the Lead Behavioral Technician III (BTIII), you will assume a leadership role on the floor, serving as a Behavior Technician III and handling administrative duties for the Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home. You will provide oversight of BT I and BT IIs in addition to direct support to the Home Supervisor. Your responsibilities on the floor will involve offering support to individuals with co-occurring intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental or behavioral health needs, who have been admitted to the Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home. This role includes facilitating daily programs and individualized activities and support for habilitative and/or rehabilitative activities, therapeutic interventions, personal care/assistance, health care, and other activities. This position participates as part of comprehensive REACH services that collaborate with guest’s primary provider and clinical home, community crisis services, family, and others. You’ll also help orient staff to the home as well as maintain required notes and documentation. The core hours for this role will be 11am-7pm Sunday - Thursday; this role may cover other shifts when needed.

What We’re Looking For
To join our team, you must be willing to provide care in a adult crisis home, have a passion for helping others, experience with MS Office suite and data entry, and good verbal and written communication skills. We also require:
- Bachelor’s in any Human Services field (Behavioral Health, Psychology or Social Work)
- Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee (QMHP-T) and/or Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP
- Registration with the Board of Counseling as a QMHP A Trainee and/or C Trainee required if a QMHP-T or QDDP.
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and a good driving record.
- Prior experience with crisis prevention and intervention services preferred.
