In its search for a Shipping manager, Eastridge Workforce Solutions is collaborating with North America's leading manufacturer of residential garage doors and a preferred supplier of commercial and industrial overhead sectional doors. This is a direct-hire position.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
- Manages operations processes associated with ensuring products are shipped on time and complete.
- Continually strive to improve productivity of labor and capital investments.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Consult with other team members as necessary, on proposed layout changes.
- Enforce safety policies and strive for an injury free workplace.
- Continually strive to lower product costs and/or improve the value of our product and services.
- Keep Plant Manager informed of problems in carrying out the assigned responsibilities and duties that are beyond the position authority to resolve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five years of manufacturing and supervisory experience
- Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to use Windows Office, Excel, Power Point, and corporate e-mail. Experience with ADI and Hyperion preferred. Experience in Oracle highly preferred.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as return on investment, compound annual growth rates, net present value of discounted cash flows, proportions, percentages and volume.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
