Key Responsibilities
- Develop, prioritize, and implement improvement programs needed in support of accelerating trial execution.
- Collaborate with SMEs, executives and other critical stakeholders (e.g. R&D Quality, R&D Strategy) to translate strategic intent into business model implications.
- Identify, evaluate and track value drivers and business cases for GDO in partnership with GDO Business Operations and Finance.
- Analyze process and initiative metrics and determine when corrective actions are needed.
- Contribute to internal/external continuous improvement initiatives and participate in strategic initiatives as a change management work stream lead to drive successful outcomes of change initiatives.
- Collaborate with the other key stakeholders to assess opportunities, prioritize projects and determine when to initiate.
- Assemble the appropriate sponsorship and diversified core teams, complete concept evaluation and officially charter project.
- Facilitate projects through selected methodology to ensure design choices are being assessed and best path forward selected. Ensure projects stay on time and budget.
- Ensure installation of changes are complete and are producing desired results. Ensure the relevant process or initiative metrics are in place to measure continuation of benefits realization and business model documentation is updated (e.g. process models, job descriptions, etc.)
- Participate in other GDO committees and forums and assess emerging capabilities to ensure desired outcomes are realized.
- Collaborates with Project Leaders, Project Managers, and Clinical Trial Managers to ensure they understand the shift in workflow and are prepared to lead/manage teams through the new/revised processes.
- Provide support in the development, execution, and monitoring of Change Management Plans in collaboration with project sponsors, project managers and key stakeholders.
- Provide hands on support and development of change strategies through the development of stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, engagement plans, change readiness plans and quantitative success measures that will reinforce change.
- Tracks and quantifies value drivers, financial savings and value as outcome of initiatives for the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required. A degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- 7 years of related work experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry and 5 years of experience in clinical trial operations, data or technology management
- Operational Excellence, Six Sigma / LEAN, or business process management experience
- Experience in Portfolio and Project Management
- Experience with driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies – certification a plus
- Management consulting experience a plus
- Demonstrated communication skills with a proven ability to effectively engage and manage key stakeholders in various functions and geographies and mitigation strategies
- Experience in matrix management is required with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire others.
- Familiarity with the drug development process experience in risk management and root cause analyses
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously to deliver intended value, ensure timely, on-budget execution of tasks. Attention to detail with excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.
- Track record in developing and implementing successful change strategies in complex and global environments.
