Job Description
- This role is inclusive of a 20% shift differential and 8 hours built in over time.
- As a Critical utilities’ specialist, you will part of a team that at a fast pace operates and maintains state of the art manufacturing equipment like bioreactors, and Critical utilities equipment like (WFI Still) Water For Injection. All this to ensure 24/7 operations.
Responsibilities
- Executes routine to intermediate level maintenance activities and operates and monitors critical utilities equipment.
- Participates in a detailed training program, in order to develop as an SME in the critical utilities’ operations and maintenance field.
- Ensures that operational log and work order documentation is completed with accurate information following GDPs.
- Supports developments, revision and reviews related SOPs or job plans/work plans for work related areas.
- Ensures all assigned work is completed within the assigned scheduled shift.
- Performs various "Housekeeping" activities, (i.e., keeping work areas clean, cleaning of equipment etc.).
- Supports evaluations of the maintenance procedures and implements changes to optimize the operation and maintenance of the critical utilities.
Supports urgent response.
- Attention to detail and personal accountability are critical to success.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable.
- Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Maintains a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.
- Working in shift rotation schedule required and may be subject to changes based on current company needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical degree preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and skill demonstrated through successful completion of relevant classes such as Mechanical Shop, or related course, or through a formal apprentice program in a relevant trade.
- Previous work experience in any of the following is strongly desired: Clean Utilities Operations / Maintenance, Process Equipment Maintenance.
- Ability to interact and communicate directly with Operations staff to minimize impact to production activities.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems used in business, previous experience using automated work orders and job instructions desired.
- Customer Service is paramount, therefore must build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and local community and regulatory agencies to meet site and Business requirements.
