The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 - $91300.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
Mission Systems Davenport is seeking an Accountant whose main activity relates to revenue reporting, sales invoicing, and management reporting. Main duties are: revenue recognition reporting, creation and sending customer invoices including electronic submissions, management reporting of revenue by product line, forecasting and budgeting, preparing journal entries, and various other management reporting. Knowledge of Oracle ERP is a plus.

In this function you will:
• Generate and perform accounting entries for Revenue Invoices.
• Verifies accuracy of accounting documents or records. Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., Revenue ledger, commissions, deferred revenue).
• Contact customers regarding account payment status and actively work past due receivables. Knowledge of USG WAWF system a plus.
• Prepare and perform analysis for various financial requests. May assist in corporate financial reporting and analysis.
• Participates in and assists with internal and external audits.
• Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs; compiles data and prepares a variety of reports following US GAAP accounting methods and procedures.
• Assists with sales tax reporting to corporate office.
• May assist in budgeting for accounts and forecast/budget elements of the balance sheet and income statement.
• Performs all operations according to prescribed safety and environmental principles.
• All other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Bachelors degree and Master’s in Accounting
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 70 miles of Davenport, IA will be considered.
Preferred:
• Manufacturing revenue reporting experience
• Complete understanding and broad application of financial principles (US GAAP), theories, and concepts.

• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

• Ability to write routine reports, work instructions and correspondence.
