Electrical Test Technician

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking an Electrical Test Technician. This position will be based out of our Raleigh, NC facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $52,499 - $76,699 a year.

What you’ll do : Position Overview :

Position Overview :

As a Lead Validation Engineering Technician, you will provide technical support for engineering teams in the development of new Eaton power system products and accessories.

Be a part of the team responsible for ensuring our critical infrastructure such as data centers, businesses, and electric vehicle charging stations remain functional in the face of whatever power quality issues they face! Our growing team is expanding our product portfolio with next-generation technologies, and we need people with a passion to ensure that they make what matters to our customers work without question!

In this role you will :

• Install equipment & instrumentation for use in evaluation of power systems products.
• Perform product testing to industry standards.
• Use computer based test equipment for recording and analysis of test data.
• Organize test data and prepare test reports.
• Fabricate, modify and repair electronic assemblies and related hardware.
• Test lab maintenance and organization.

Qualifications :

Required (Basic) Qualifications :

• Associates degree in Electronics from an accredited institution OR in lieu of degree an Electronic / Electrical Engineering Technology certificate / Military training and 5 years’ experience in an engineering support role.
• Minimum three (3 years) experience in an engineering or technical role.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Raleigh, NC will be considered.

Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with single and multiphase low voltage electrical systems.
• Understanding of Electronic circuit theory of operation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Electronic component parametric evaluation.
• Use of electronic test instrumentation including digital oscilloscopes, power meters, digital multimeters and data loggers.
• Experience utilizing Electromechanical prototype fabrication techniques, tools and materials.
• PCBA rework, modification and soldering techniques.
• Knowledge of basic electricity.
• Collaborative orientation, the ability to succeed in a highly team oriented, global, and diverse environment.
