What are the responsibilities and job description for the industrial assembly 1st shift position at Eaton?
What you'll do:
Affixe a variety of sub-assemblies to the inside of enclosures and commercial products following print layouts, and verbal and written instructions.
Check the quality of assembled parts and finished enclosures.
Lift finished enclosures into boxes for shipment, cuts, forms, and tapes boxes for appropriate sizing using hand tools. Palletizes boxes.
Perform first article inspections.
Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military members are exempt from this geographical restriction.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in a machine shop/sheet metal processing manufacturing environment
Assembly or subassembly experience in a production environment
Experience reading blueprints and using simple measuring tools
Position Criteria:
Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, and bending with or without accommodation
Ability to stand for eight hours plus while performing repetitious tasks with or without accommodation
Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
Ability to follow directions, and work independently with a focus on details.
Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate
Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as required by business needs
