The Activities Director is responsible for planning and implementing a quality leisure/social events program designed to assist senior residents in maintaining their personal potential both physically and mentally. Position will oversee activity assistants.
- 80 hours per two week pay period and may require evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

- Develops program and activities reflective of resident interests
- Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents
- Coordinates community volunteers
- Manages and directs Activities Assistants
- Maintain compliance with state and federal SNF regulations regarding medical record documentation and facility policies
- Completes Assessments, Care Plans, Progress Notes and MDS
- Complete and update attendance records.
- Gathers information from other team members as it relates to residents’ care.
- Attends and participates in MDS/RAI/IDT and resident Care Conferences.
- Audits Therapeutic Recreation/Active Living Department documentation regularly.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Recreational Therapy or related Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Three to five years previous experience preferred
- Must be able to drive a 14 passenger van

Current employees must have completed both vaccination schedules on or before January 4, 2022.
Any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date. Annual flu vaccinations are also required before the employment start date for employees who begin employment during the flu season. Accommodations requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
