Position Summary:
The Sales Representative for Environmental Services and Products will sell and provide solutions for customers that generate liquid or solid waste and are looking for disposal and compliance options. These generators of waste are typically in the automotive service industry including automotive dealerships and repair shops as well as manufacturing and fabrication facilities.
Essential duties of Position:
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in the automotive or industrial manufacturing business that generate waste.
- Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
- Develops and implements strategies and proposals for sales in an assigned territory.
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
- Collaborates with the client’s purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm their services are performed with accuracy and efficiency and that waste is processed responsibly and according to all federal and state laws.
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associates in Business or related field preferred
- Previous, field sales experience calling on Automotive and Industrial customers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Thorough understanding of environmental services to be sold.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Travel to meet with clients or potential clients frequently, preferred four days per week.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
