What you will do:
- Become a Subject Matter expert in the Ion Exchange space
- Perform and direct advanced technical experimentation and expand into areas of new technology in selected fields
- Provide strategic direction related to technical initiatives that result in long term new product concepts, technical platforms and more.
- Lead and act as a key technical contributor on multiple, complex projects and experiments of significant scope of complexity with very high impact on the business
- Perform work in a safe manner while identifying opportunities for improving safety.
- Work on a multinational team collaborating with colleagues around the world
- Act as a liaison between the research, quality, field, sales and production teams
- Write and present technical recommendations or test results to wide range of audiences.
- Assist with technical training
- Ability to guide the work of the R&D team to ensure we are meeting goals and innovation targets
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or Advanced degree in related technical field. BS and 10 years, MS and 7 years and PhD and 5 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant experience and knowledge in the Ion Exchange space
- 3 years of experience with polymer synthesis, organic chemistry, mixing techniques/technologies
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment with cross-sectional groups.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting and understanding applicable lab and field test results
- Ability to lead a research program with minimal daily interaction/direction with the group leader
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
- Eagerness and ability to learn new products, processes, and chemistries.
