Position Details:
- Plant location: Winston-Salem, NC
- Work week and shift: 1st Shift M-F (6 am - 4:30 pm)
- Compensation package offered: $22/hr
Sign on Bonus: $1,500
What You Will Do:
- Establish standard work and assists in training
- Coordinate equipment and labor to minimize downtime
- May back fill forklift operators or other positions as needed
- Participate in developing, deploying, and using continuous improvement systems
- Identify safety hazards through safety audits and initiatives. Recommend corrective actions
- Communicate maintenance needs, quality issues or other situations that impact safety, quality or productivity to supervisor. Work closely with the Quality team
- Continuously identify opportunities for system and process waste elimination
- Ensure constant communication with management on daily activities and challenges
- Participate in selecting and developing new hires
- Ensure the warehouse is clean and maintained
- Successfully complete classroom and on the job training
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of warehouse experience in a related field
- Experience with RF Scanners and MS Office
- No immigration sponsorship offered for this role
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:
- TPM knowledge and experience
- Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma knowledge and experience
- Professional experience coaching, mentoring and providing feedback to employees
- Excellent communication skills
- Forklift operating experience
