The Role

At Marktec, we specialize in distributing marking, labeling, code dating, barcoding, and packaging equipment to consumer goods manufacturers and industrial magnates. In the heart of this operation, our Field Service Technicians play a pivotal role. You will be the frontline in troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring our customer’s equipment runs seamlessly at our client locations.

Furthermore, being the torchbearer of Marktec’s commitment to excellence, you are expected to continuously upgrade your skills, attending technical training sessions, and mastering the art and science of our machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• On-site installation and repair of industrial equipment.
• Quick and effective troubleshooting, both remotely and in person.
• Ensure that all equipment, especially rental units, are in peak condition.
• Training customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Daily update Sales Force software post-service and/or conversation with customer and liaise with the sales team.
• Assist in administrative tasks, including documentation, record-keeping, and customer communication.
• Adhere to company's confidentiality standards.

The Person

• Demonstrates strong decision-making skills with an ability to pivot quickly when priorities change.
• Previous networking/ software experience is essential.
• Highly organized and meets deadlines consistently.
• Proven mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Professional communication capabilities, both written and verbal.
• Trade school graduate or equivalent with a high school diploma.
• Active, unrestricted NYS driver's license. (Note: Restrictions may affect employment status)
• Experience with industrial inkjet printers is a plus.
• Displays a friendly and positive attitude with colleagues and clients at all times.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and complete tasks without supervision.
