ECS is seeking a Communication Analysts to work in our Washington DC office.
Job Description:
Perform stakeholder analyses to develop a deep understanding of cybersecurity program stakeholders and construct audience profiles to inform stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and enterprise risk management
Assist in the draft, iteration, and delivery of a strategic 360-degree communications plan for the enterprise cybersecurity program
Analyze existing processes, applying government and industry best practices where practicable to recommend improvements to gain efficiencies in cybersecurity program communications
Support cybersecurity program goals by drafting content and communication materials (including but not limited to documentation for program initiatives, newsletters, articles, presentations, and educational content) to achieve program-tailored behavioral objectives
Recommend production schedules that accommodate technical experts, organizational deadlines and requirements for enterprise communications, and design personnel to create digital media, newsletters, and other creative products.
Perform analysis to measure progress toward accomplishing communications goals and propose recommendations for development and enhancement of communication goals and strategies consistent with cybersecurity program priorities
- Coordinates work activities and writes and edits highly complex technical information technology related
- documents, including presentations, manuals, reports, and specifications.
- Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits highly complex technical documents for publication.
- Edits documentation for style, clarity, consistency, and adherence to customer guidelines.
- Supports digital marketing promotion and communication efforts.
- Researches highly complex technical concepts.
- Creates new technical documents that are complex in nature. Conducts interviews with various technical staff to
- gather data for documentation.
- Writes and edits policies, procedures, workflows, manuals.
- May lead large production efforts. Evaluates and provides feedback on draft documents and attends
- documentation reviews
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, computer science, or related discipline
- At least 8 years of experience, including 6 years of specialized experience in the information systems field.
- Ability to interface with technical staff and end-users to understand functional requirements to develop processes
- and procedures
- Ability to write for technical and nontechnical audiences
- Microsoft Office and Visio mandatory.
- Advanced graphics skills helpful
