What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master position at ECS_FEDERAL?
ECS is seeking a Scrum Master to work in our Washington, DC office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Description:
- Guide scrum-team through all sprints of a program increment, removing impediments and championing the team.
- Organize and facilitate sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile related events.
- Track and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management.
- Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
- Assist product owners with backlog grooming.
- Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase velocity.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor Degree.
- A minimum of five (5) years of concurrent experience in project and program management including:
- At least three (3) years of experience managing IT projects and programs.
- At least five (5) years of experience in coaching multiple agile teams.
- Proven experience as a scrum master – KANBAN/SCRUMBAN methods.
- Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification OR PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
- Proven experience with managing using Dev Ops concepts.
- Proven experience with Agile Reporting techniques.
- Proven experience in improving Work –In – Progress (WIP) Management.
Desired Skills:
- Experience leading Agile Scrum teams.
- Strong understanding of IT concepts and technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
- Experience with Atlassian Agile Products; specifically, JIRA and Confluence.
