Grand Village seeks a MDS Specialist to join its team. Grand Village consists of 119 nursing home beds and is located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Responsibilities
The MDS Specialist is responsible for assuring timely MDS (Minimum Data Set) completion for assigned patients/units to meet deadlines, with a focus on accuracy, case mix maximization, and regulatory compliance. In addition, this position may be responsible for development and implementation of staff education programs for the facility.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current LPN or RN licensure in the state in which they are working.
- Up to 3 years related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior senior care experience
- Experience with medical coding and coverage requirements for various payer types
