Overview
Lead the Financial Planning and Business teams in the development of financial plans that are consistent with and support the company’s strategies and financial objectives. Identify and recommend opportunities for improved profit and expense performance. Provide financial planning, analysis, and decision support relative to company goals and budgets established for the company.
Core Accountabilities:
- Lead the execution of monthly financial close/forecasting process to deliver accurate financial results by performing comprehensive analysis of business trends, key expenses and journal entries
- Manage the planning cycle process for all corporate departments, interfacing with department heads to maintain effective expense management discipline
- Lead the channel business teams in monitoring current performance versus plans, and determining contingency actions as needed.
- Establish financial discipline in the development of accurate and timely P&L projections (LRP, budget, plan, and forecast) for the company.
- Provide leadership to the financial planning team in development and maintenance of financial models supporting Cash Flow forecasting, LRP and the consolidation of channel and divisional forecasts
- Analyze and interpret complex financial concepts; provide clear and concise summaries and recommendations, and influence decision makers with facts supporting your recommendations
- Direct and execute post-game analysis for investment spending programs related to the Stores, Direct, and corporate areas.
- Proactively analyze and evaluate the business. Propose opportunities for expense management and improvements. Monitor expenses to ensure expense control and company objectives are met.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations related to new store, renewed stores, closed stores and store capital investment decisions
- Assess and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency of the financial planning cycle
- Create new analysis and reporting as needed to ensure Senior Leadership has visibility to, and a clear understanding of significant financial issues that impact profitability. Provide recommendations to counter the identified financial issues
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to support the development of accurate and timely financial plans, as well as to better influence decisions and course correction as needed

Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 7-10 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prior experience working in retail
- Excellent Excel skills with ability to design and maintain complex financial models and to create high quality financial presentations
- Demonstrate an understanding of the retail landscape and business model
- Broad and deep understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance concepts
- Ability to summarize business results clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Highly motivated, participative team player that can provide financial leadership
- Strong leadership skills and ability to direct a team in managing multiple projects and deadlines

Requirements & EEO Statement
Full time positions only: The salary (range) for this position is $135,000 - $155,000, (annually). Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
