EDFR is seeking an AWS Technical Lead/Architect to provide leadership and guidance in the creation of world-class digital technology solutions. This role will be a key enabler for the digital transformation of the Operational Technology landscape, through the creation of market-differentiating and business critical software products.
Responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining AWS cloud software products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability. Expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, combined with AWS cloud services, will drive the success of our software product development.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of AWS developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and ensure the team's productivity.
- AWS Expertise: Leverage your deep knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway, to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Full Stack Development: Take ownership of end-to-end development, from front-end technologies like React and Angular to back-end technologies like Node.js and Python, ensuring seamless integration.
- Architecture and Design: Create detailed technical architecture and design documentation and ensure that solutions align with the company's technology roadmap.
- Scalability and Performance: Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in the AWS environment.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) for data protection and privacy.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps specialists, to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with AWS services, tools, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- 10 years of experience designing and developing software solutions
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Architect in AWS full stack development.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency in full-stack development technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Python).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in an agile context, ideally Agile Scrum, coordinating with scrum masters and product owners/managers.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- A good understanding of operational technology for energy generation is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to view video display terminal images < 18" away from face for extended periods of
- time - up to four (4) hours at a time.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and telephone.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time - up to four (4) hours at a time.
- Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds.
Working Conditions:
95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors' and/or internal customers' sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.
This role's annual base salary range is between $126,600 and $211,000.
