Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a
DOE Assessor (Readiness, Safety Basis, Ops) opportunity to support the
Nevada National Security Site.
Work Location: Hybrid (Combination of NNSS, NLV and remote work)
Job Period: Periodic assessments throughout the year. Typical assignments are 2-4 weeks.
Clearance Requirement: DOE Q Preferred, but will consider candidates with DOE L Clearance.
Scope of Work
- Act as a Team Lead.
- Assist in coordinating program and project execution in areas of Readiness, Safety Basis Implementation Verification Reviews, and facility operations assessments.
- Working with peers, laboratories, and other organizations to ensure processes and deliverables adhere to DOE and site requirements.
- Support may include overseeing maintenance of the readiness process and implementing procedures.
- Direct moderate-sized readiness projects requiring interdisciplinary and interagency collaboration and coordination.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- DOE Assessment Experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with any of the following:
- DOE Order 425.1C, Startup and Restart of Nuclear Facilities
- DOE P 450.4, Safety Management System Policy
- DOE/NNSA Safety Management Functions, Responsibilities and Authorities Manual
- DOE-STD-3006-2000, Planning and Conduct of Operational Readiness Reviews
- DOE-HDBK- 3012-2003, Operational Readiness Review Team Leaders Handbook
- DOE G 450.4-1B, Integrated Safety Management System Guide
