Edith Macy Center has more than 14,000 square feet of indoor conference space, 58 sleeping rooms, and we are situated among 405 wooded acres in the heart of Westchester County. Edith Macy Conference Center is seeking an individual to assist with rooming our groups into the system.


We are looking for a highly engaging, customer focused individual to join our sales team as a Group Rooms Coordinator. The successful candidate for this role will have a proven track record of providing exceptional service, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally.


The Group Rooms Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our Sales Team and ensuring accuracy of group bookings in the reservations system.



Your Role:

Sales Coordination

  • Monitors and audits booking entry performed by sales, catering, and conference planning staff to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining the accuracy of group bookings in the sales and guestroom reservation systems from the time of entry until the final booking check is generated.
  • Responsible for creating definite group booking reservations in the guestroom reservation computer system.
  • Communicates group room block requests and revisions to the Front Desk staff for entry in the guestroom reservation computer system.
  • Ensures on-going verification and reconciliation of room blocks between Reservations and Sales on a regular basis.
  • Ensures accurate updating of group room pickups into the sales system database.
The position is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. The hourly range is between $20-$22, depending on experience.
Qualifications:

  • Applicants MUST have a clean, valid Driver's License
  • Someone with a High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in the hospitality industry or in a professional, office environment
  • Above average proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Delphi, Salesforce, and Maestro PMS systems a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Pleasant telephone manner
  • Must be able communicate effectively with peers and superiors in a positive manner
  • Detail oriented with focus on ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Good organizational, time management and follow through skills
Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $20.00/Hr. - $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
