What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Educational Service District 112?
Reporting directly to the Director of Early Intervention, the Physical Therapist (PT) provides physical therapy services in the areas of assessment, direct therapy, training and consultation to staff and families of children ages birth to three in natural environments as a primary service provider. The PT serves as a liaison with medical and community service providers on behalf of children with disabilities and their families.
Salary:
The full salary range for this position is $55,563.00 - $92,876.00. Salary placement is based on education and years of certificated experience.

- Inform teachers and other school personnel of physical therapy services.
- Provide formal and informal evaluations assessing functional capabilities of infants and toddlers on assigned caseload.
- Develop and implement specific goals with measurable outcomes in the Individual Family Service Plan in conjunction with the IFSP team.
- Maintain all Early Intervention documentation including EI state forms and written documenation of all evaluations, goals, physical therapy treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with doctors and families, in accordance with agency formats in a professional manner and in compliance with established time frame.
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure goals of the infant, toddler, and family are met as stated in the Individual Family Service Plan.
- Provide consultation and home programs for the families/caregivers to facilitate goals as identified in the Individual Family Service Plan.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Availability to consult for other disciplines on an as-needed basis.
- Attend required scheduled meetings.
- Travel within ESD 112 service area.
- Hold or eligible to hold a valid Washington State ESA physical therapist certificate.
- Hold or eligible to hold a valid Washington State license to practice physical therapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a special education public school setting or with pediatric populations.
- Experience interpreting state and federal special education law.
- Provide service in homes and child care centers.
- Physically able to perform duties of position in addition to the ability to get to a child's level, ability to bend and/or stoop.
- Physical ability to transfer and/or lift children and equipment.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
- Driver's license and an acceptable driving abstract.
