Opportunity OverviewUS Remote Team Overview:The Accessibility Team Leader will manage a team of accessibility specialists who work with User Experience and digital product team members in Edward Jones’ digital technology area to ensure that systems, applications, and experiences are designed to meet accessibility standards.

- Build highly effective teams by attracting and retaining top accessibility talent and providing opportunities for growth and career enrichment.
- Lead a team of geographically dispersed team members by using collaboration tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Identify and direct the implementation of accessibility process improvements.
- Build solid relationships with digital product leaders to understand product goals and priorities.
- Create a place of belonging that allows associates and contractors to bring their authentic selves to work.
- Ensure team members follow accessibility best practices and effectively communicate, collaborate, and drive for the right results within their delivery teams.
- Help create a culture of disability inclusion at the firm by evangelizing the need for inclusive design and promoting accessible solutions.
- Assist in building out an accessibility governance culture and process.
- Prioritize knowledge and skill development for tomorrow.
- Manage and develop self while internalizing leadership feedback.

Requirements
What Experience You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Instructional Design or Computer Science preferred, or related work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to digital accessibility or user experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG, WAI-AIRA)
- Solid understanding of assistive technology and accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, Dragon, Fusion, deque, Wave, ZoomText
- Experience supporting an accessibility governance structure
- Experience working collaboratively to develop, maintain, and implement digital accessibility technologies, policies, standards, and best practices
- Experience mentoring and/or coaching within an agile software development organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to present ideas, thoughts, arguments, and information clearly
- Talent for understanding and explaining technical issues and their implications for projects and business decisions, facilitating discussion and resolution of problems, and mentoring other technology associates
- Ability to respond well to direction, embrace feedback, and champion change What Could Set You Apart:
