We are looking for a data-driven, media expert to join our team as a Senior Marketing Strategist – Paid Media. Please apply to this role if your background aligns to this position.

The Senior Marketing Strategist of paid media builds multi-segmented media strategies through thoughtful alignment of winnable audiences to their business needs. They use data to build and optimize omni-channel experiences to reach clients. They are a leader of matrixed teams formed to address specific business objectives with the ability to coach on media.


Growth Marketing is accountable for effectively and seamlessly guiding prospects and clients into starting and building deep, personal relationships with Edward Jones financial advisors. The Senior Marketing Strategist is responsible for leading paid media strategy, and ongoing optimization of the media mix aligned to KPIs. As a Sr. Strategist in Growth marketing, they will develop and deliver differentiated go-to-market strategies that drive acquisition, expansion and retention of millions of prospects and clients across US and Canada. The Senior Marketing Strategist translates audience insights into tangible business opportunities by defining target audiences and identifying the right channels to reach them. This role also leads matrixed teams to develop and deliver personalized omni-channel journeys that propel them to become clients and deepen their wealth, maximizing in-market results.

What you'll need...
  • Collaborates with agencies, vendors, and internal teams on the development of media strategies and plans and analyzes performance across all paid media channels at a national, local market and branch team level (Programmatic, display, YouTube, podcasts, digital audio, social media, paid search, native, OTT, etc.)
  • Partners cross-functionally to build and integrate strategy across paid, owned, shared and earned channels.
  • Defines, implements, and measures performance of omni-channel marketing campaigns, customer journeys, and paid media channels against established objectives (ROI and KPIs).
  • Identifies trends and insights against performance and makes recommendations and/or optimizes channel mix or media spend accordingly. Collaborates with internal teams to create optimal creative ad units, landing pages and user experiences.
  • Advances effectiveness of paid media through testing, audience targeting, segmentation and omni-channel journeys measurable through data.
  • Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Identifies critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes the user funnel.
What you'll need...
    • Previous experience in Marketing in the financial services industry preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related study. MBA or master's degree is highly preferred.
    • 7 years of experience in paid media managing multi-segmented complex strategies - agency or client side.
    • 12 years' experience in developing and delivering broad omni-channel marketing strategies in various industries and reaching audiences in targeted ways through multiple online and offline campaigns, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility, leadership and strategic marketing planning; or experience marketing.
  • High degree of business acumen with demonstrable business results.
  • Broad knowledge of marketing disciplines and proven ability to maximize knowledge and experience to deliver the required business revenue.
  • Demonstrated experience translating a company's objectives and positioning strategy into proven marketing campaigns.
  • Proven ability to quickly build strong connections at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data and apply critical thinking as to how it addresses stated business objectives.
  • Previous experience utilizing CMM or MTA models to optimize media mix and forecast media performance.
  • Previous experience supporting paid media in a multi-location business model (retail, franchise, etc.) preferred
