Position Summary

  • Program Manager plans and develops projects as they relate to Sales, Quality, and Engineering to ensure projects are in accordance with customers and EG Industries standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, and establishes of accurate timelines and progress reports pertaining to the Program activities. Ensures Key Milestone deliverables are on time and on budget.
  • Effectively manage Program Activities and leading the Program Team including disciplines such as Quality, Metrology, Industrial Engineering, Tooling, Packaging, Process Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Discipline to work on projects at other EGI facilities and travel as needed to EGI facilities and Customers
  • Assists in development of EG Industries manufacturing and quality techniques relative to specific projects upon request.
  • Responsible for APQP participation.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Reviews deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Recommends material, tooling strategies and process based on customer and product requirements when appropriate
  • Participation with Sales/Customer Service to assist with current customers and sales prospects, including field representation
  • Continually improve relationships and companys position with Customers and Suppliers through direct interface, and strong leadership
  • Actively participate in Six Sigma, 5S and Lean Manufacturing to drive continual improvements and eliminate waste.
  • Maintain compliance to applicable regulatory codes, rules, best practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications


Preferred Skills

  • Six Sigma certification/training
  • PMP Certification

Education and Job Experience Requirements

  • Four (4) to ten (10) years of trade school, vocational/college education, apprenticeship, or related experience.
  • Preferred BS/BA in a technical field

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • The position requires the ability to work in a climate and non-climate -controlled plant areas and office environment
  • This position is exposed to noisy plant areas, and forklift traffic.
  • This position requires the ability to walk on concrete floors, lift up to 30 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
