About the EIT Digital Education Lead

EIT Digital is looking for highly motivated professionals to support with the operational tasks related to its Entrepreneurial Academy, including but not limited to Master School, Professional School, Alumni Community, (d)Academy and implementation of EU proposals. Candidates must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a complex and multiparty dynamic environment. The main purpose of this position is to drive the delivery of EIT Digital Education activities in terms of KPIs, Budget, Deliverables, Outputs and Impact.

EIT Digital is a key player in the education and training of state-of-the-art digital innovation and entrepreneurial skills, with an emphasis on higher education and life-long learning. EIT Digital currently runs eight 2-year Master programmes in partnership with 15 top-European technical universities around Europe. The programmes cover the full range of digital competencies required in the ongoing and future digital transformation of industry and society and the Master School is on a growth curve in terms of number and quality of programmes, number of students and universities joining. The trademark of the EIT Digital Master School is to integrate Innovation and Entrepreneurship skills with the technical major studies to create T-shaped engineers.

In addition to the Master School, EIT Digital is further developing its activities in the life-long learning arena. Through the development of a proprietary online platform, the (d)Academy, EIT Digital plans to deliver high quality and specialized non degree courses to provide upskilling and reskilling in the deep tech fields, with micro credentials and life learning accounts for individuals of any age who intend to stay relevant on the job market. An important part of the platform will be the matchmaking with recruiters who can get into contact with trainees and students early on. The goal of the platform will be to start providing the service to EIT Digital students and partner organizations and by the end of 2024, grow into the European platform of reference for European students, institutions and corporates.

Main Responsibilities

  • Daily management of the Master School portfolio with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Manage, organise and lead the Master School in close collaboration with the EIT Digital team and the EIT Digital university partners.
  • Manage and optimise the Master School programme portfolio by finding EU calls that will help achieve programme updating, optimisation, diversification as well as scaling up student intake.
  • Drive the deployment of EU proposals that are won for the EIT Digital Master School and EIT Digital Academy.
  • Support the development of the Alumni community and manage student ambassador recruitment and community.
  • Lead the development of the (d)Academy in close collaboration with management.
  • Develop the collaboration with Coursera to drive doubling of revenue generation for Professional School.
  • Provide hands-on support to all the EIT Digital stakeholders with respect to achieving KPIs, deliverables and Impact.
  • Drive the key annual processes of EIT Digital (formal reporting to the EIT and other funding agencies, quarterly reporting to EIT Digital management, Business Plan preparation and amendment).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is required, preferably. Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in digital innovation / technology sector.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and experience with data collection, analysis, modeling & visualization.
  • Experience with managing operational tasks and complex multi-actor organisational processes.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • EU project experience is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, SharePoint and PowerBI.
  • Autonomous and pro-active, as well as a natural team player.
  • Hands-on and can-do attitude with high level of commitment to duties, timelines and deadlines.
  • Understanding of legal, fiscal and financial aspects to perform the reporting.
  • Aptitude in problem-solving.

Languages

Mastery of English, with superior verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Knowledge of any of these languages: French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, German, Finnish, Swedish or Hungarian is a merit.

International travel

The Education Lead needs to be prepared to travel in Europe on an extensive base.

Place of employment

Preferably at EIT Digital office in Brussels, although location at one of the EIT Digital European offices with easy connection for travel in Europe will be considered.
