We have a 3rd Shift Production Lead role with a dynamic and innovative company that offers a fun and supportive work environment! Our team is seeking a dedicated Production Lead to join us in achieving our mission of delivering exceptional products and services to our customers.

HOURS: 3rd Shift 10:30PM- 7AM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supervise and lead a team of production operators to ensure a safe, productive, and efficient work environment.
  • Set clear expectations, assign tasks, and provide guidance to team members.
  • Monitor daily production activities and adjust resources as needed to meet production targets
  • Implement and maintain 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to promote workplace organization and cleanliness.
  • Identify and eliminate sources of waste and inefficiency in the production area.
  • Promote lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce lead times, and enhance quality.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the production team.
  • Facilitate and participate in regular improvement activities, such as Kaizen events, to drive operational excellence.
  • Train new and existing staff on standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Support cross-training efforts to create a versatile and adaptable workforce.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Take appropriate actions to address quality issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of production activities, including inventory levels and output.
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators and present findings to management.
Skills/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related software
  • Lean Six Sigma certification a plus!
  • Previous experience in training and developing production staff.
  • Familiarity with extrusion machinery
