Overview
Israel’s national airline, EL AL Israel Airlines is seeking to hire a District Sales Manager (DSM). This role will require achieving business goals and revenue target growth, as well as other supporting activities in the Southeast. The DSM will prospect new account opportunities, negotiate partners and travel agent’s agreements, and will represent the airline in trade shows and public events as well as meeting clients while constantly following up to monitor success.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Provide indicative market information and insights to sales and marketing management, and identifies key issues that require development of strategic business solutions.
· Develop excellent relationships with travel agents to provide support and acquire competition insights, and monitor the activities to detect suspected fraud behaviors.
· Manage a team of account managers responsible of regions within the west coast territory. Providing guidance, training, and supporting their daily operation to your team and ensuring company standards and procedures are followed as well as achieving targeted performance. Conducting performance appraisals will be required occasionally.
· Identify, draft, and negotiate contracts for development of new business opportunities
· Maintain and manage contracts, negotiations, reporting, and retention of top 30-50 key accounts and national corporate base.
· Conduct ongoing reviews and apply strategic recommendations to optimize revenue and account performance.
· Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of revenue, market share and sales operations.
· Identify profitable business leads and build pipeline of prospective business development.
· Provide analytical rationale using data-driven programs to identify, develop and implement activities within allocated account base.
· Track sales data to assess trends, make proactive strategy changes and suggested strategic recommendations to optimize revenue and account performance.
· Work with airport station team to assure operation support and excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Skills
· 5 years management travel industry experience (Travel agent or Airline)
· Outstanding interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities.
· Car is required as travel on company-supported initiatives is about 60-80% of the time.
· Ideal candidate will have knowledge of a GDS system and other airline technical sales tools, as well as MS Microsoft expertise: excel, word, and PowerPoint.
· Hebrew language skills a plus.
