Compensation : $15.00 to $20.19 hourly, commensurate with education and experience.

- Willing to travel to outlying clinics as needed.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge and fluent skill of Microsoft Office Excel and Word applications, internet explorer usage, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
Under the direction supervision of the Clinic Manager / or the Regional Administrator the Clinic Receptionist is responsible for projecting a positive first impression of the organization, by communicating effectively with coworkers and the general public, and greeting patients and other visitors, determining their needs, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate party with complete confidentiality.
An essential job result is accurate and reliable work products, which have a direct impact on the financial performance of El Centro Family Health.
The Clinic Receptionist works in a busy medical clinic environment and must be courteous, polite, and helpful to patients, visitors, public and ECFH staff while exhibiting customer service.
Requires excellent telephone etiquette, ability to work well under pressure; ability to work accurately and efficiently;
and ability to work well and in a supportive manner with patients, visitors, public and ECFH staff. Position requires attention to detail, ability to relate data elements, and ability to evaluate discrepancies in data and documents using defined sources of information.
The Clinic Receptionist may receive and record payments and / or other documentation for financial reimbursement and is not delegated authority to commit the company in the expenditure of funds or in the adoption of changes in policy or procedure.
Employee is responsible for identifying correct answers, and for recommending action with a high degree of reliability. Errors by the employee may result in patient and employee inconvenience, dissatisfaction, and potential legal action.
Work is primarily performed in an automated database, with protocols for back-up and security. Because the Clinic Receptionist has access to personal data regarding individual patients and their families, an essential job result is the maintenance of a high level of confidentiality of the information processed by the employee.
Violation of this confidence may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment
Minimum requirements
Education : High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience (preferred) : Minimum of two (2) years' experience, with at least one (1) year experience in a related field.
Preferred Requirements
Experience :
Medical terminology and health insurance claims, Medicaid, and Medicare.
Bi-lingual- Fluent English / Spanish.
