What you will do:
The Senior Procurement Engineer will primarily support the design, development, and execution of procurement operations processes, policies, and procedures with a focus on quality and strategic scale up. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for executing requests for quotations and information, placing purchase orders, and managing key suppliers in support of relevant Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies, best practices, and initiatives that support improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, delivery, lead times, risk compliance, ESG and other areas as identified
- Develop and lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including developing SOPs for selection criteria and drives the selection of suppliers in collaboration with a cross-functional teams
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Lead and conduct supplier development and improvement projects, and proactively participates in problem resolution (NCRs, SCARs, delivery issues, etc.) and supplier risk analysis
- Conduct risk assessments for critical suppliers, materials, and components to ensure continuity of supply and product quality
- Actively participate in tendering processes, compare quotes strategically, and work with Supply Chain Management and the Leadership teams to determine best sources for each project, part, and/or service
- Responsible for the designing and creation of internal procurement SOPs and policies that ensure compliance with financial, legal, and ethical requirements
- Report on Procurement activities on a regular basis to Supply Chain Management and the Leadership teams, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist Quality and Procurement teams with supplier compliance requirement activities
- Other duties as assigned
What we need you to bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study in engineering or quality management; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
- 5 years of experience in quality management role in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Quality System Standards experience (9001, 13485, IATF16949, AS9100, 21 CFR 820, 14 CFR – any subsection)
- Solid understanding and application of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
- The ability to manage and adapt to multiple and/or changing projects simultaneously and possess the ability to thrive in a continuous improvement environment
- Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
