This position will be located onsite at our intellirent facility in Roanoke, TX 5 days a week.

Position Summary:

The Test Repair Equipment Technician will be able to help evaluate, assemble, and maintain various electronic devices and types of electrical equipment. To do this, you will be tasked with troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, reading schematics, and using common tools and techniques to resolve issues.

To be successful as an electrical technician, you should have mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, physically able to lift heavy equipment daily, good customer service skills, and the ability to move at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks fulfilling customer orders, evaluating equipment failures and repair high voltage test & measurement when possible in-house
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, which will include manufacturers such as Fluke, Megger, AEMC, Omicron, High Voltage, Doble, Raytech
• Responsible for maintaining a minimal number of assets in repair status without Evaluation.
• Daily communication with IRG team (procurement) to order parts for repairs and once received have the units fixed and evaluated for return to service.
• Equipment updates
• Ability to switch back and forth between repair and testing roles.

Qualifications

• AA Degree in technical related field
• Knowledge of electrical power systems and switchgear
• Soldering and wiring
• 2 years as an equipment technician or electrical test technician
• Highly effective communicator

• Focused and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Experience & Education

• AA Technical Degree
• 2 years of relative work experience

Physical Requirements

• All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively, both oral and written.
• Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs or ladders.
• Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds individually and up to 150 pounds as a team.
• Regularly sit at the assigned workstation
• Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork to view contents.
• Ability to read schematics, documents, reports, files etc.
