Position Summary
Responsible for the service and management of on-site EnvioCARE service programs include, but are not limited to, wastewater treatment, related filtration and pre-treatment / Waste Treatment equipment, and chemical feed systems, for assigned clients using knowledge about wastewater equipment design and operations.
The position centered around technical trouble shooting, uncovering new business & growth opportunities, utilizing the strategic consultive sales method developed by MES, and on the management of a given portfolio of customers. The Account Manager will be focused on providing a competitive, efficient, and sustainable wastewater treatment program to the portfolio along with providing client training, education, and support.
Essential Functions
- Develop/maintain effective sales relationships with client and MES sales team
- Strong focus on value creation at the client site
- Ability to develop and execute plans to convert opportunities into profitable sales
- 'Value in use’ sales and presentation skills capabilities
- Excellent knowledge about a variety of treatment technologies
- Understanding product applications to ensure system design
- Generate professionally written technical reports and proposals
- Identify, recommend, and implement program upgrades
- Conduct customer meetings to communicate program results in a manner that builds rapport and promote customer care of their systems.
Qualifications
- A demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a desire to work in a hands-on environment.
- Previous work experience (5-10 years) in the industrial wastewater industry is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Science or Engineering is considered an asset. Typical areas of focus for successful candidates: chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental science, sustainability studies.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM or similar software
- Valid Driver’s license.
Working Conditions
This is a field-based position. Most of the workload is performed within client facilities. This includes, but is not limited to mechanical rooms, industrial production facilities. The work is being performed at an assigned client list with varied contact types, including some challenging clients. The Account Manager position will occasionally be expected to be available outside of standard business hours to support client satisfaction via phone, email, or even on-site. This position also involves substantial travel requirements to and from client sites. Overnight travel will be required. The amount of overnight travel will vary based on geography covered and client needs.
