Job Purpose
The Applications Engineer is a demanding and highly skilled job in which the person is knowledgeable in the latest developments in Printed Circuit Board manufacturing especially surface finishing. The role has two main functions:
1. Working closely with the Global R&D team ensuring development of new chemical / equipment technology to meet ever changing industry needs for improved performance, miniaturization and cost. This appointment would be a key team member in bringing newly developed technology from the research bench top to global fabricators.
2. Mentoring MacDermid Alpha's global sales and service teams in creating value at customer sites by promotion of process technology and high level troubleshooting resolving manufacturing issues.

Job Responsibilities
* Perform detailed process audits.
* Practical demonstration of MacDermid products at customer facilities.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
* Provide technical support for all PCB product lines.
* Operating knowledge of most controllers used in the various processes.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Provide information on competitive activity in region.
* Travel to customer or manufacturing sites required, 40-60%.
* Person must be able to travel internationally with a passport.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry
