Pay Range:

For candidates working in person or remotely in these locations (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington) the pay range for this specific position is $14.54-$32.31. Compensation is discussed with BCForward upon a job offer.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.


Responsible for re-selling Individual medical plans to existing members in all of the company's states. Responsible for increasing member retention (decrease in lapse rates) by working with at-risk members.


Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides detailed analysis that identifies and promotes the value of the existing plan, discuss options, provides alternative plan options when appropriate and makes recommendations.
  • Provides customers with counseling and recommendations for plan changes.
  • Responsible for working with members during rate increases or any other time a member is a risk of leaving.
  • Works with cancellation requests to prevent member attrition.
  • Partners with the Underwriting team to provide alternate plan options to facilitate enrollment when the selected plan is not available, due to rate ups, etc.
  • Follows up on retention leads through outbound communications via phone or in writing.


Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS; 3-4 years of Life & Health insurance experience in sales and/or member services; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Must have a license to sell insurance in all required states.
  • Resident Health & Life Insurance License

Additional Details:

  • M-F 8:30am-5:00,9:30am-6:00pm or 10:30am-7:00 (All Shifts are Local Time)
  • All Candidates Must Be Available to Work Any of These Shifts /Possibility of Weekends
  • Work From Home - Must Have Suitable Quiet Private Workspace
  • Must Have 100 Mbps High Speed Internet
  • Wifi is Not Permissible, Must Be Able to Use Short Ethernet Cable to Plug Into Router
  • No Time Off Requests Will Be Accepted During Training
  • After Training Time Off Requests Will Be Reviewed and Possibly Approved Between 11/1/24 and 12/15/24 Depending Call Volume
  • Assignment Length Is Subject to Change
