Position Summary
The Intensive Residential Support Home (IRSH) provides intensive community-based services for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID), mental health needs, and complex behavioral health supports. Our program enhances the quality of life for individuals with ID, mental health needs, and complex behavioral health supports by utilizing positive behavioral supports, multi-model clinical assessments, and other therapeutic tools.
**This position requires regular travel throughout the service area (mileage reimbursed) and on-call responsibilities**
Job Description
- Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance at a specific location to perform assigned tasks. Regular travel is required.
- Directly supervise IRSH program directors on administrative aspects of the program, assuring fidelity standards are met and maintained.
- Responsible for monitoring and or facilitating the hiring, orientation, ongoing training, performance evaluation, and any progressive disciplinary actions of employees within the I-START IRSH settings.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure fidelity measures are achieved or maintained for all IRSH employees.
- Identify and coordinate necessary training for IRSH programming needs.
- Coordinate operations of the IRSH program(s) and ensure all policies and procedures are followed within each IRSH program.
- Responsible for monitoring to ensure persons' health, safety, welfare, rights, and dignity in the IRSH program(s).
- Monitor acuity levels, process and/or assign referrals within each IRSH program.
- Actively participate in discharge planning and monitoring.
- Provide oversight and guidance of the on-call schedule, while participating in a rotational supervisory role for on-call support.
- Coordinate clinical services in collaboration with the Clinical Director
- Enter, monitor, and ensure all documentation entries are completed according to State and START fidelity measures and/or requirements.
- Conduct audits of the IRSH directors, managers, counselors, and homes to ensure State regulations are adhered to and met for all documentation and billing purposes.
- Responsible for the Quality Improvement Plan for HCBS and IRSH.
- Responsible for promptly reporting allegations of abuse to the appropriate department and reporting allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse to the Project Director.
- Collaborate regularly with START leadership team members, case managers, region services coordinators, region personnel, MCO’s, DHS quality management personnel, legally responsible persons, persons served, employees, and other appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure all homes within the IRSH program are well maintained, both inside and outside of the home, and are in good repair.
- Participate in, complete, and maintain the Center for START Services Coordinator, medication management, and MANDT certifications.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other human service field with 2 years’ experience working with people who have ID and mental health and/or challenging behavior needs and prior supervisory experience.
OR
- A Registered Nurse or bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other human service field with 4 years’ experience working with people who have ID and mental health and/or challenging behavior needs is acceptable and prior supervisory experience.
