POSITION SUMMARY:
The QC Inspector/CMM Programmer/Operator is responsible for the quality inspection of parts received from vendors, ensuring quality in our in-house machine shop as well as performing basic manufacturing facility tasks. This is a hands-on position that requires the individual to be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and complete the complex tasks necessary to accurately ensure the quality of our finished goods. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, demonstrated successful organizational and time management skills, problem solving abilities, and a strong work ethic.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read machine shop production drawings
Program and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (Mitutoyo Crysta Apex) utilizing MCOSMOS and Measure Link
Use hand measuring instruments to verify the quality of components.
Maintain calibration of all measurement equipment
Maintain all inspection reports
Process all paperwork to receiving department
Perform set-up of equipment and part fixtures
Create CMM programs for new parts and update old programs as needed
SKILLS:
Familiar with 3D based software environment
Proficient in Vault, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD Mechanical software
Strong overall computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel
Familiar with ISO 9001:2015
Excellent communication skills

Work well in a team-based environment

Willingness to learn
Able to lift ~ 50 pounds
EDUCATION:
Mechanical Engineering Technology degree or equivalent is a plus
