As a Solar Installer, you will install and maintain solar panels and related equipment at customer sites. You will work with technicians and engineers to ensure systems are properly installed and functioning. Responsibilities include installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels, inverters, and racking systems.
- Connect solar panels to electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair solar energy systems.
- Complete installations on time and within budget.
- Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment.
- Maintain records of installations and repairs.
- Communicate with customers and team members.
- Stay updated on new technologies and techniques.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of solar installation or similar construction experience.
- 2-year college degree in a technical field.
- Knowledge of electrical and wiring systems.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Physical ability to work at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and independent work capability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- Indoor and outdoor work, sometimes in extreme weather.
- Standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Heavy lifting and carrying of equipment.
- Travel to various job sites, occasionally out of state.
- Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
