JOB BRIEF — LOGISTICS ACCOUNT SPECIALIST I:
The primary function of a Logistics Account Specialist I (LAS I) at ELITE is to support our operations team and to provide superior customer service to our clients. As a LAS I, you will use our innovative transportation management technology to broker, monitor, track and update the status of our client’s freight. Utilizing critical thinking skills, and problem-solving capabilities our Logistic Account Specialists (LAS I) are goal oriented, and KPI driven. An LAS I is critical in reinforcing the brand promise of ELITE — to provide every client with industry-leading on-time delivery (OTD), and best-in-class customer service at competitive prices.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize Elite’s proprietary freight management technology platform to support daily business operations.
- Negotiate rates and secure carriers/drivers for freight needing to be delivered primarily on spot market but could include outlier contracted lanes.
- Oversee assigned freight, from pickup to delivery, providing real-time information to all stakeholders.
- Manage phone calls/emails/touches as assigned per day, communicating details effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide superior customer service to both carriers and clients.
- Resolve problems for carriers and clients using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in and contribute professionally to weekly team/company meetings.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-demand office environment.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to field a high call volume while also working on the computer.
- Strong negotiating and conflict-resolution skills.
- Successful customer service and sales experience.
- Experience in logistics is preferred, but not required.
- 2 or 4-year degree from an accredited university is preferred.
