This role is ideal for someone looking for a growth opportunity into a management position. While this job is an individual contributor, there could be potential for personnel management in the future. Our ideal person has strong PPAP experience and is someone who can understand legacy businesses' workflows with the goal of making recommendations for efficiency and process improvement.

At TapeCase, we design, convert, manufacture, and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. Under the supervision of the Director of Business Operations, the Quality Manager will be responsible for documenting, evaluating, and optimizing existing manufacturing processes in alignment with TapeCase and ISO 9001 standards. The Quality Manager will also provide direct support to the Corporate Quality Manager and the Inside Sales, Purchasing, and Distribution teams for all Quality-related activities.


What you'll do in this role:

  • Execute all PPAP’s and IMDS forms per customer requests
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with external customers, suppliers and internal departments like Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, Purchasing, and Upper Management.
  • Work directly with internal and external customers to address customer issues
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies
  • Evaluate and continuously improve production and manufacturing processes through the development of a workflow
  • Develop and execute quality systems and design methods to improve and/or enhance processes
  • Perform quality assessments and monitor all activities for measuring processes
  • Identify process non-value add areas and devise solutions to remove them from the process
  • Create SOP’s and own quality documentation for manufacturing processes and operations, including trials, training guides, TPM’s and machine competency checklists
  • Educate, train and lead new employees on quality procedures and ensure compliance to best practices
  • Work cross functionally to lead the problem solving including 8D and make recommendations off of findings to the team with data based results
  • Learn and understand the processes throughout the manufacturing to make informed recommendations and changes

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college, preferably in engineering or quality, and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent at the discretion of Human Resources and the hiring Manager
  • PPAP experience is required.
  • 8D is required.
  • Experience writing and editing SOP documents and work instructions are required
  • Previous ISO experience is desired, but we are willing to train the right person.
