We provide a broad spectrum of information technology and ancillary services to government and commercial customers primarily within the healthcare delivery domain. We seek a remote Scrum Master to join us in support of VDIF (Veteran’s Data Integration and Federation Program).
The purpose of VDIF is to support the migration of patient data from the legacy VistA to the new EHRM (Electronic Health Records Management) system and to facilitate Health Information Exchange (HIE) within VA (Veterans Affairs) and with external partners. VA has established the VDIF Enterprise Platform (EP) which serves as middleware (a HIE) for federating VA patient data.
Responsibilities:
- Support multiple projects of medium to large scale through all sprints/iterations and phases of the project.
- Gather/organize requirements and align the various parts of each scrum teams work to ensure it meets the end user requirements for final work product.
- Ensure the scrum team remains organized and on schedule by facilitating and leading the agile process; running daily scrum calls, running sprint reviews, retrospectives, gathering information, disseminating to management, identifying/escalating risks
- Gather information (design details from tech team, test results, bugs/ defects) and producing release documentation (updates to System Design Document (SDD), Interface Control Document (ICD), Test plan/ report, release guide, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be the interface both internal to the scrum team, with VDIF project management/tech leadership, customers and POCs from integrating applications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other Technical discipline, OR a minimum of 8 years equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Requires at least 5 years of experience in similar role, preferably with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Requires at least 5 years of experience with Agile methodology as a Scrum Master. Must have related certification (CSM or PSM).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearance.
- Strongly prefer previous experience with the following: Healthshare, SOAP UI, EHR (electronic health records) and/or HIE (health information exchange).
