What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Ellwood Group Inc?
Ellwood National Forge Company (ENF) has an opening for a Program Manager- Land Based Ordinance. This position will be based in Irvine, PA, however travel will be required to the Corry and Warren Plants. This exempt position will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Field sales responsibilities will predominantly cover North America but could potentially include international destinations. Travel is expected to comprise a minimum of 30% of the time. The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Managing program logistics for specific existing account assignments
- Current Customers
- Former Customers requiring a re-entry strategy
- Identify and pursue value added opportunities
- Develop significant new volume markets with a focus on custom finish machining
- Create new customer targets based on ENF facility capabilities
- Create new customer targets based on modifications to existing facilities
- Participate in creating the justification for modifying existing facilities
- Create appropriate sales strategies
- Attend relevant defense symposiums
- Initiate contact with relevant defense research arms
- Initiate contact with commercial companies who have major stake in air to ground penetrator market
- Lead Land Based Ordinance IPT Team
- Maintain personal understanding of each ENF supply partner
- Develop, coordinate and track IPT actions
- Coordinate the ENF input to customer driven ad hoc requirements
- Preserve and enhance the focus on customer service
- Understand and create professional relationships with the multi-service key stakeholders and decision makers for each penetrator product offering
- Configuration Management Leadership
- Create professional compliant product proposals in response to requests for proposals
- Document customer calls and key contact information
- Business Planning:
- Create sales forecasts
- Analyze competitors
- Market Share, Capabilities, Strengths & Weaknesses
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree, preferred majors: Business or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Five years of direct sales or equivalent experience
- Three – five years of managing, planning, and coordinating projects with internal and external work scopes
- Posses superior sales acumen
- Posses a thorough business understanding from demand creation through fulfillment and customer relationship management
