A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOME SERVICES SALES MANAGER
As one of our Home Services Sales Managers, you enjoy spending your days coaching and training your team on being some of the best reps in the biz! You use activity-based management methods and account development strategies, to name a few, to help your team reach its targeted quota results! You assist with calls, presenting value propositions, qualifying prospects, objection handling, negotiations, and closing. You pride yourself on maintaining a highly efficient team as they keep call-conversion ratios on target, complete follow-up calls on all unsold replacement leads within 48 hours, and utilize the company's proven system on every call. You easily recruit and retain top retail sales professionals through the development and implementation of employee engagement strategies.
You are an expert in your role, and your knowledge and expertise help ensure that we maintain our service effectiveness, we stay current and up-to-date, and we strive to constantly improve. You effectively implement and track the success of new selling and marketing programs, the development of compensation plans, performance objectives, training programs, and process improvements. You, yourself, maintain a current knowledge base of the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical market trends and assist dealers with promos, pricing, and volume potential for current and future business. The strategies and formulas that you implement help support a valid and growing revenue pipeline, maximizing performance, and providing excellent customer satisfaction. To keep your team up-to-date and constantly learning, you hold at least one team meeting per week, make time for a ride-along schedule for advisors and techs, and you ensure that all policies, procedures, and OSHA standards are adhered to by all production personnel.
You are a the type of leader who leads by example and is approachable. You maintain positive relationships with other management and teams to support coherence as a company. You communicate effectively with the Sales Lead Coordinator (SLC) to ensure additional leads for your team and by 9:00 am sharp, and the daily sales and lead reports are on the Accounting Manager's desk. You are dedicated to upholding a professional persona by wearing company apparel, staying organized, and following all safety procedures and performance standards. You enjoy the variety of working both in the office and traveling to jobs to help encourage company success and customer satisfaction!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HOME SERVICES SALES MANAGER
- 5 or more years of experience in a sales management role for residential service and maintenance operation
- Associates degree in a related field, an advanced degree is a PLUS!
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and relevant HVAC certifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and tablet-based software
- Solid needs-based sales skills
- Willingness to travel, work in extreme weather conditions, and work extended hours (as needed)
