Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Crew Leader to join our grounds department at Elmridge golf course. The Crew Leader will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendant, and will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the groundskeeping crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Duties:

- Supervise Crew: Direct and supervise a team of groundskeepers to ensure
tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.

- Maintain Landscapes: Perform various groundskeeping duties including but not
limited to: equipment operation, mowing, edging, raking, weeding, fertilizer and
pesticide applications, and irrigation system operation and maintenance.

- Garden Maintenance: Maintain flower beds, and other planted areas.

- Groundskeeping: Keep outdoor areas clean and well-maintained.

- Leadership: Lead by example, motivate team members, and provide guidance on
best practices in landscaping.

Requirements:

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a CT pesticide applicators license.
- Recent college graduates with only part time landscaping experience but with a
willingness to learn and work hard are encouraged to apply.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
