Position Summary Information
Summary of Position
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Clinical Education Team responsibilities:
a. Preparation and review of clinical contracts and affiliation agreements.
b. Provision and tracking of stipends for preceptorship.
c. Creation and maintenance of comprehensive clinical education related documentation in appropriate electronic databases and files.
d. Oversee clinical rotation onboarding processes, acting as School and student liaison with established clinical sites.
e. Communicate with clinical education stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.
f. Plan and schedule meetings and appointments with students and clinical sites, possibly including local travel.
g. Audit of clinical site and preceptor documentation to ensure compliance with program accreditation requirements.
h. Optimize workflows and efficiencies.
Plan and schedule meetings and appointments for the clinical team with the guidance of the Director of Clinical Experiences to include:
- “Check in” meetings with clinical year cohorts
- PAEA End of Rotation Exams
- PAEA Packrat Exams
- PAEA End of Curriculum Exams
2.Call back week: rooms, guest lecturers, special events.
a. Assists Director of Clinical Experiences with the following responsibilities:
i.Development and maintenance of project plan for clinical training sites to monitor and track site utilization.
ii.Audit of clinical site documentation to ensure compliance with program accreditation requirements.
iii.Design, coordination, and evaluation of the clinical education scheduling and site maintenance process.
iv.Development of annual site visit schedule as well as additional spreadsheets, diagrams, process maps to document clinical education needs.
v.Assists with student course registration and enrollment.
vi.Assists with ensuring students have met program outcomes.
3.Departmental and Unit responsibilities:
a. Assists with the design, coordination, and evaluation of the program and curriculum, including the development and revision of the program mission and goals.
b. Participate in the admissions process.
c. Assist with advising learners in the PA program.
d. Work with Administrative Assistant in fulfilling additional needs for DPAS.
e. Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

General Purpose of Position
The Clinical Education Specialist is an essential member of the clinical education team and partner to the Director of Clinical Education. This position will manage internal operations and project management for clinical education and be responsible for consistent communication with students and established clinical sites.
