Summary:
Our Greenhouse Westmidtown Taproom Manager will work with our Operations manager to lead and maintain an efficient and productive workspace, live out our team Values of Craft, Community, Inclusion, and Experience while maintaining a healthy workspace environment.
The TM will lead the bartending team to deliver high quality service following company policy and procedures to assure the optimal guest experience. They will lead and encourage a strong, positive, team attitude. Will be confident in correcting and coaching our team to provide superior service, and will have a keen attention to detail to anticipate needs of the Elsewhere team and guests.
This is a hybird role of working 2 manager administrative shifts per week and three lead bartending shifts per week. They will maintain systems for optimal organization and be knowledgeable of all things happening in the taproom.
We have a 30, 60, 90 employee vetting/training regimen follows a strict progression where employees must successfully complete each phase before advancing to the next. In the initial 30 days, we assess the employee's skills and cultural fit within the organization. Once this phase is completed satisfactorily, we provide more comprehensive training and support during the following 30 days. Only after successfully navigating this stage do employees move on to the final 90-day evaluation, where we assess their performance and overall fit within the company. This structured approach ensures that employees progress through each phase before advancing, helping us onboard and retain folks that are a great fit for them and equally for our team.
Essential Duties and Qualifications (Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)
· Minimum of two years of hospitality management experience
- Must be available nights and weekends
- Have a true passion for the development and mentoring of others
- Takes full responsibility for employee relations, enforcing good habits in staff by spot correcting and creating improvement plans. Takes disciplinary action when necessary.
- Provide consistent support to the success of the FOH operation: assist fellow employees when needed, maintain clean and tidy conditions, and maintain overall taproom organization
- Honesty, integrity and a love for customer satisfaction
- Solid knowledge of safe bar serving procedures, including guest de-escalation
- Trainings all new FOH staff
- Following and enforcing human resource management practices
- Can contribute to a positive teamwork environment and maintain a professional demeanor
- Leads team in getting prepared for service with pre-shift meetings and ensuring all tasks have been completed prior to opening
- Follows and enforces daily and weekly taproom procedures during service
- Creating relationships with our guests and remembering faces
- Managing week-to-week scheduling
- Handling inventory and working with other managers to make sure all materials and products are secured for each service

- Educational/Certification Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years managerial experience
- Knowledgeable and passionate about beer and food
- 4 years of working in hospitality
