Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Finance Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing and monthly financial preparation along with related activities for a small company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial concepts, and experience with various accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the payroll process from start to finish
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions
- Review and reconcile payroll data, including debits and credits
- Collaborate with HR for benefits administration and compliance
- Handle accounts payable related to payroll
- Utilize software systems such as Ceridian, UltiPro, QuickBooks, and Kronos for payroll processing
- Generate reports on payroll expenses and employee hours
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of governmental accounting principles
- Familiarity with financial concepts and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Ceridian, UltiPro, QuickBooks, and Kronos
- Strong understanding of benefits administration processes
