Field Marketing Manager
Embark is looking for a field marketing expert to improve and scale our in-person presence. As a firm, we are obsessed with building relationships and providing unparalleled hospitality for our clients. To aid in these ongoing initiatives, we must increase the volume and quality of in-person events across our geographical markets.
Embark needs an experienced field marketer to lead this charge by implementing and improving processes to plan, manage, and deliver ROI on various field marketing events. The ideal candidate will be ready to collaborate with individuals across sales, marketing, consulting, and third parties. They will be able to handle the blocking and tackling of putting together an event but also provide strategic guidance on everything from event production to sales follow-ups.
Field marketing at Embark is any event or experience that puts Embarkers in front of prospects or customers to have meaningful interactions to build relationships, develop brand awareness, and drive revenue. This role will be in charge of producing our events and supporting Embark’s presence at events hosted by third parties. This includes large-scale events, like a SaaS user conference sponsorship, and more intimate events like lunch-and-learns and happy hours.
Delivering ROI on field marketing efforts is the ultimate goal. This person will work in lock-step with sales to support account planning efforts to get our target audience to attend our events and ensure communication continues right after the event to drive new sales opportunities and revenue.
What you’ll be doing…
Responsibilities
Manage all field marketing processes end-to-end, from budget approval to event follow-up strategies
Produce, host, and support successful events and related campaigns to drive customer retention and new business
Define event-specific goals to track and report on
Work with individual salespeople, marketers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders to effectively plan, promote, execute, and follow up on events
Work with marketing and other third parties to ensure the in-person brand experience is executed to standard
Work with salespeople to support account-based marketing and selling strategies
Execute promotional campaigns for events, including email, social, advertising, and other channels
Build necessary web pages, such as registration landing pages, using our CMS (HubSpot, no coding required)
Ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and brand assets for events are present
Have direct sales conversations with customers and prospects at field events
Support various other marketing projects as needed
Setup and manage events in person (when necessary), including travel.
To be a good fit for our Recruitment Marketing Manager role, you will have:
2 years in a field marketing or related role
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or other related fields or comparable experience
An entrepreneurial spirit and will work well in a rapidly changing environment
Proven experience carrying out marketing efforts, including planning, prioritizing, and implementing strategy
A strong grasp of the pillars of field marketing, including customer marketing, event marketing, demand generation, sales, and account-based marketing
Strong copywriting and editing skills with an eye for detail
Phenomenal communication skillsTo strive for perfection but settle for excellence
To be self-motivated and highly proactive
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
To be able to multitask and manage multiple work streams
To be a team player who can work with multiple personalities and departments
To be willing to travel when needed
To meet our strict company policy of “don’t be dumb”
Experience within the Big 4, consulting, or professional services would be helpful but not required
