Summary of Position
- Support the work and deliverables of multiple complex projects or programs, from the ideation stage to implementation, that impact multiple processes and functions within the Finance Department.
- Capture strategic Medical Cost Saving business initiatives and goals with analysis of data base results and other reporting systems from across Finance.
- Collaborate with business partners and leaders to ensure accuracy of presented information at HCCI forum.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for updating presentation materials for Finance leadership and populating status reports that can be shared: prepare/revise spreadsheets with data showing actual versus projected/estimated/plan results for lines of business, P&L functional areas, and monthly overall corporate results.
- Provide draft data visualizations for presentations to senior executives.
- Capture notes, follow-ups, and takeaways from these meetings.
- Monitor results of enterprise Medical Cost strategic initiatives and cost reduction initiatives based on plan year targets.
- Analyze, compare, and reconcile financial data for specific business projects within the organization.
- Assist with development of project value and/or ROI in partnership with Finance and business analysis areas.
- Provide updates or next steps pertaining to the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of project(s).
- Track progress and communicate project status on a regular basis to finance leader; work with the business and analytics leads as needed to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Create project timeline, identifying key milestones and additional resources needed for successful project completion.
- Support the medical cost savings business team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, healthcare management or other related quantitative field of study
- 3 - 5 years of relevant, professional work experience (R)
- Experience in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or other related financial function (R)
- Additional years of experience/specialized training may be considered in lieu of educational requirements (R)
- Experience with finance projects: preparation and monitoring of multiple budgets related to various projects/program(s); monitoring project milestones; and successfully managing multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines (R)
- Strong understanding of business operations, business targets and strategic objectives (P)
- Understanding of financial metrics; ability to identify and calculate ROI on business expenditures (R)
- Ability to understand and interpret information and to communicate ideas and information to all audiences (R)
- Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) (R)
- Proficient with financial applications/software/systems and other technology tools (R)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal, negotiation); ability to build rapport and relationships (R)
