CLIENT SERVICES DIRECTOR
The Client Services Director is responsible for all aspects of operations of the Embrave’s Forensic Mental Health and Competency Restoration Services known as the Valor Program. This position is responsible for approximately 50% of Embrave’s operations. The Valor Program is funded and in the startup phase. Key aspects to this role will be program development, recruiting and hiring and operationalizing the program plan in collaboration with Colorado Competency Solutions/Colorado Fines Committee. The Valor Program is a statewide program designed for clients who need or have a history of needing forensic and competency restoration services. The Director will have influence over the innovation and implementation of this one of kind program. The leader will be responsible for creating a positive, team-oriented program culture in accordance with Embrave’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Serves as an active senior executive in the Embrave Leadership team.
The Director directs the design and implementation of effective care and successful client outcomes. This position is responsible for developing highly effective therapeutic treatment culture within staff and client milieu. The Director will also be providing supervisory/administrative structures; ensuring analytical and operational support; defines and implements new performance assessment and management systems; develops recommendations to improve program performance and takes action to address issues. The leader will ensure knowledge of and assures compliance with all Valor and Embrave policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements and program standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees the implementation and operations of the program to ensure best in class care and client outcomes.
  • Develops and maintains a highly effective therapeutic treatment culture in both staff member and client milieus.
  • Ensures program development and implementation that meets the needs of the State of Colorado for competency restoration services.
  • Ensures program operates within budget and leads the development of sustainable funding streams.
  • Ensures quality assurance and process improvement (QAPI System) in the programs service delivery including client care and documentation.
  • Coordinates communication with other service components of the agency and judicial and service agencies involved with program clients.
  • Extensive experience in program startups and program oversight that includes crisis intervention, mental/behavioral health services in a residential treatment setting.
  • Ability to work as part of a comprehensive community mental health network and to represent Embrave in the community.
  • Works closely with Embrave Finance, Human Resources and Quality Assurance departments for expertise and support.
  • Ensures client and employee safety, and satisfaction, while addressing client and staff concerns and critical organizational reporting, in a timely manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of and assures compliance with all state, federal and Embrave policies and procedures and any additional applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Possesses effective interpersonal and professional communication skills and abilities in conjunction with emotional intelligence.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
  • Treats others in a way that promotes dignity and respect.
  • Responsible for the human, financial, and material resources as well as data and information entrusted to us.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
  • Hires and trains new staff.
  • Addresses performance and/or behavioral issues in a constructive and timely manner.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's Degree in business administration, social work, psychology, criminal justice, public administration or a related field.
Must have program development and start up experience.
At least five years of professional experience in the mental health, social services or human services fields required with at least three years at the supervisory level preferred.
