What are the responsibilities and job description for the PPM Millwright– (Elementis) 6.4 position at Emcor?
The Millwrights will install and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -
- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment;
- assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications; may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.
- Cleans all work areas
- Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor
- Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications:
Must have 2 years work experience as an industrial millwright or has successfully completed a curriculum closely related to Millwright work from a vocational institution. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
