Job Title: Shipping Receiving and Material Clerk
Job description:
Signs for incoming deliveries from carriers, verifies the condition of deliveries, may refuse damaged goods, matches attached paperwork to the PO information in the computer, counts boxes and parts and receives materials in the system. Delivers certain materials throughout the facility; handles outgoing and incoming mail; properly prepares and weighs product, other materials, and RMA’s for shipment per specifications as required. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies, utilizes a forklift and pallet jack as needed. Maintains control of the stockroom and transacts materials in the ERP system. Perform other similar duties as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, issue, and ship equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Uses computer systems to perform duties including preparing receivers, shop orders, picking lists, route sheets, tracking, logging, and various reporting.
- Examines stock to verify conformance to shipping, receiving or stocking specifications and invoices; unpacks, stores and packs articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; requisitions stock to fill incoming orders.
- Determines methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, and required space.
- Verifies quantity, weight and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- 3-5 years of similar experience
- 3 years of ERP system experience in a manufacturing environment
- Computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Certified forklift driver.
- Ability to use a pallet jack
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to use scales for counting and weighing parts and product.
- Good math aptitude.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
- Able to fill out Bill of Ladings (BOL’s).
- ISO 9001 and AS9100 and ESD background.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work area may be noisy, temperatures will vary. May lift up to 70 lbs.
