PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Help Desk Analyst I will act as the initial point-of-contact for providing IT help desk support. This role will be an excellent opportunity for those just starting out or with a few years of experience in the IT field.
This position requires a commitment to Emergicon’s mission and core values and the willingness to demonstrate those core values in all activities performed daily. The incumbent of this position is an active participant in the organization and supports the changes necessary for the organization’s survival.
REPORTS TO / SUPERVISES
This position reports directly to the Technology Leader and works collaboratively with Emergicon personnel in all departments to resolve issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides technical support by identifying, investigating, and resolving users’ problems for both software and hardware issues.
· Respond to queries either through email or chat, in person, or over the phone.
· Collaborates with staff to research and resolve problems.
· Maintains system capability by testing computer components.
· Maintains daily performance of computer systems.
· Improve existing programs by reviewing objectives and specifications, evaluating proposed changes, recommending changes, making modifications.
· Always display a customer first approach to technical support problems.
· Configure company equipment and deploy it to company personnel, both on and off site.
· Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· High School diploma or GED required.
· 1-3 years related work experience required.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Previous Help Desk experience (Desktop/Application Support, Ticketing System).
· Strong computer skills installing and maintaining Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10, Antivirus, and other applications.
· Ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical staff.
· Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking.
· Experience with Office 365, InTune, and Active Directory is a plus.
